Abstract

Contemporary Vietnamese literary studies are increasingly expanding through the adoption of innovative theoretical frameworks. This article proposes a Posthumanist reading of Vietnamese prose. Premised on the crisis of traditional humanism in the face of ecological catastrophes and identity ruptures, the study draws upon the perspectives of Francesca Ferrando, Rosi Braidotti, and N. Katherine Hayles to examine three critical dimensions: post-anthropocentrism, post-dualism, and symbiotic ethics. The research demonstrates that decoding contemporary Vietnamese prose via Posthumanist theory transcends the constraints of sociological criticism and conventional formalism, thereby broadening critical boundaries and foregrounding the agency of non-human entities, ecological trauma, and the reconfiguration of the nomadic subject in the digital age.
