Nghiên cứu về cây mù u (Calophyllum inophyllum L., họ Măng cụt (Clusiaceae)) thu hái tại Vĩnh Long nhằm làm rõ đặc điểm thực vật và sơ bộ thành phần hóa học của loài cây này. Về đặc điểm thực vật, nghiên cứu mô tả hình thái ngoài của cây như thân, lá, hoa và quả, đồng thời phân tích vi học (vi phẫu, bột dược liệu) để phục vụ nhận diện và kiểm nghiệm dược liệu. Kết quả cho thấy cây có những đặc điểm đặc trưng giúp phân biệt với các loài cùng họ. Về thành phần hóa học, dược liệu được chiết xuất và tiến hành các phản ứng định tính nhằm xác định các nhóm chất chính. Kết quả cho thấy cây mù u chứa một số hợp chất cần quan tâm như coumarin, flavonoid, tanin. Nghiên cứu kết quả bước đầu góp phần xây dựng cơ sở khoa học cho việc nhận diện, kiểm nghiệm và khai thác dược liệu Mù u, đồng thời định hướng cho các nghiên cứu sâu hơn về tác dụng sinh học và ứng dụng trong y dược.

ABSTRACT

This study investigates the plant Mu u (Calophyllum inophyllum L. - Clusiaceae), collected in Vinh Long, with the aim of elucidating its botanical characteristics and preliminary phytochemical composition. Regarding botanical characteristics, the study describes the external morphology of the plant, including stem, leaves, flowers and fruits. In addition, microscopic analyses (anatomy and powdered drug characteristics) were conducted to support identification and quality control of the medicinal material. The results shown that Mu u possesses distinctive features that help differentiate it from other species within the same family. In terms of chemical composition, Mu u material was extracted and subjected to qualitative chemical tests to identify major groups of compounds. The results shown that Mu u contains some need to caring such as coumarins, flavonoids, tanins. These preliminary findings contribute to establishing a scientific basis for the identification, quality control, and utilization of Mu u as a medicinal plant, while also providing a foundation for further studies on its biological activities and pharmaceutical applications.
