Abstract

The moon, a ubiquitous human symbol, permeates the cultural fabric of societies across the globe. A scholarly examination of its representation in Vietnamese folk poetry contributes to the broader study of linguistic symbolism while offering valuable insights into the Vietnamese people‘s lifestyle, emotions, and cognitive processes as reflected through the moon symbol. In this article, we have surveyed the frequency of the moon symbol‘s appearance and analyzed some issues from the survey. From there, we point out some main concepts that the moon symbol expresses.
