This paper assesses the current state of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in financial transactions in Vietnam, covering key sectors such as taxation, customs, banking, insurance, securities, the State Treasury, and finance companies. While AI adoption has contributed to process automation, risk management, fraud detection, and improved service quality, its implementation remains uneven and constrained by data, infrastructure, legal, and human resource limitations. Based on an analytical assessment, the study proposes systemic solutions including legal framework enhancement, data standardization and integration, digital infrastructure investment, human capital development, and the establishment of regulatory sandboxes. The findings provide policy-relevant insights to support the safe and sustainable adoption of AI in Vietnam’s financial system.Downloads
