Abstract

This paper analyzes the current situation of e-commerce fraud and the factors affecting the effectiveness of combating and preventing such crimes in the context of rapid digital development. E-commerce fraud includes various forms such as online financial fraud, copyright infringement, money laundering through electronic transactions, and cyberattacks, posing threats to cybersecurity, consumer rights, and market stability. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of e-commerce fraud prevention is challenged by difficulties in tracking anonymous offenders, legal loopholes, limited international cooperation, and the fast evolution of technology. Based on these findings, the paper proposes several solutions to improve the effectiveness of combating e-commerce fraud, including strengthening international cooperation, developing early warning systems, improving legal frameworks, raising public awareness, and investing in security technologies. These measures are expected to enhance fraud detection and prevention and protect individuals’ assets in the e-commerce environment.
